In fact, by my reckoning, it's almost short enough for me to consider it a short. The longest story I have lumped in my collection of short stories is 34,500 words long (111 pages) and the shortest stand-alone story I've written is 58,700 words long (212 pages). So, looking at it like that, 50,000 isn't so long after all.Anna L.
